Role Summary

The Teaching Assistant (TA) Supervisor oversees the coordination, supervision, and professional development of teaching assistants to ensure effective classroom support and smooth school operations. The role works closely with academic leadership and teachers to ensure teaching assistants contribute positively to teaching, learning, and school activities.

 

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of Teacher’s Assistants across classes and grade levels
• Assign tasks and provide guidance to support classroom activities and student learning
• Conduct induction, training, mentoring, and performance appraisal for Teacher’s Assistants
• Monitor performance and ensure effective classroom support by Teacher’s Assistants
• Coordinate schedules and assignments to ensure adequate TA coverage in classes
• Lead and coordinate TA support for school events and activities
• Maintain records related to TA assignments, training, and performance
• Ensure TAs comply with school policies including child protection, health and safety, and confidentiality
• Work closely with teachers and academic leadership to support classroom operations


Qualification & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in education or classroom support roles
• Experience supervising or coordinating teaching assistants or support staff is preferred
• Strong understanding of classroom operations and student support practices
• Strong organizational, leadership, and coordination skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and academic leadership
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
