Role Summary

The Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher is responsible for delivering the kindergarten curriculum while ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and holistic development of students. The role focuses on creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment, supporting students’ academic progress, character development, and social growth while working closely with school leadership and parents to support student learning.


Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver the kindergarten curriculum using effective teaching strategies and appropriate instructional materials
  • Plan and prepare lesson plans, weekly planners, and student assessments in accordance with the school curriculum
  • Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and development
  • Assess student performance and maintain accurate academic records and report books
  • Assign and review homework or learning activities in line with the school’s academic guidelines
  • Observe students’ progress and support their academic, social, and behavioral development
  • Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to maintain high academic standards and teamwork
  • Communicate with parents regarding student progress and participate in meetings when required


Qualification & Requirements
  • Native English speaker
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in early childhood or kindergarten education
  • Strong classroom management and child development knowledge
  • Ability to design engaging lesson plans and learning activities for young learners
  • Commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, and character development
